Description:

This unique, novel GTP teaching tool comprises over 230 slides among a selection of more than 1000 of the best images that have illustrated physiological and medical concepts in the outstanding slide sets developed by experts who served on the Undergraduate Teaching (UTP), Clinical Teaching (CTP) and Gastroenterology Teaching Projects (GTP) of the AGA. This unit includes detailed illustrations of gastrointestinal and liver anatomy, cellular components, and molecular structures that can be used to create new pictures that illustrate simple or complex biological phenomena and describe their relation to physiology and disease. ClipArt selections include esophageal, gastric, intestinal, pancreatic, liver and biliary gross anatomy, cell structures, and intracellular signaling cascades leading to secretion, inflammation, cell proliferation, apoptosis and more. These images are formatted to provide the user with the flexibility to take the components of an image and prepare new individualized slides. Academicians can use these outstanding images to prepare scientific presentations or to make graphics that can enhance publications or grant applications. Clinicians can use these images to create professional appearing, yet personalized materials for conferences, for their patients, or for promotional distribution. Educators in the basic or clinical sciences can use these images to illustrate concepts for slides and/or handouts.
